About the Authors

Paula Martin

Paula Martin is the Founder and CEO of the International Matrix Management Institute. She has worked with matrix organizations for over 30 years helping them create project systems, develop organizational management systems, and define matrix structures that support their business strategies. She’s realigned and re-engineered their business processes, worked with their leadership teams to enhance performance and helped them define accountability.

Paula is the primary developer of the Matrix Management 2.0™ organizational operating system and the author of the Matrix Management 2.0™ Body of Knowledge, Matrix Management Reinvented: Book 1-The New Game in Town, Managing Projects in a Matrix, Matrix Management Reinvented: Book 2-The 7 Shifts Needed to Be a Successful Leader and eight other titles related to organizational improvement and matrix management.

Cathy Cassidy

Cathy Cassidy is the Managing Director of the Matrix Management Institute. She is a co-developer of the Matrix Management 2.0 Operating System. She is a key contributor to the Matrix Management 2.0™ Body of Knowledge and the author of several books on matrix management, including Managing Projects in a Matrix.

Cathy works directly with clients in operationalizing their matrix organizations, defining horizontal governance structure, creating project systems, and developing collaborative leadership skills they need to succeed in today’s complex, dynamic environment.
